Friday Flashback 9/20/13

Happy Friday!

Wow, has it seemed like a long week to you? It sure has for me. Part of it probably has to do with the fact that I spent the majority of it sick on the couch. I ended up with a miserable end of summer cold.

Don't you hate that?

I mean it is like, hellooooooo isn't it bad enough that summer is over? Now ya gotta give me a cold too?

OK I will stop whining now. Let's talk about something that made me feel reallllllly good. The football game last Sunday!! You know I am a huge football fan and my Seahawks are starting the season off awesome!

How about that thunderstorm that delayed the game though? If you didn't see it, the picture above was taken during the game to show how close the lightning was.

I did start feeling a bit better yesterday and decided I had been on my sofa way to long. For whatever reason I got a wild hair and the next thing I knew I was up in my spare room unpacking boxes. Those boxes have been there for a year!! Why I chose the first day I was feeling mildly better to attack this task I  have no idea. I am not the brightest bulb in the pack sometimes!

Yup that was the mess I started with.

Boxes.....boxes

and more boxes!

Just tons of shhhhhhtuff!!

But after a bit....

Yay, I made a dent in it!!

And after 5 hours......

Woohoooo

Getting there....

Except for the hats on top, that closet was empty.

I still have a way to go, and it will probably be moved around a bit,

but...

my back hurts!!

Now on to what was happening online this past week.

My T-fal cookware giveaway ended and Heather Lynn was my winner!

You know if I was sick and stuck on the sofa I spent an enormous (I mean ridiculously enormous) amount of time on Pintrest. I will only give you a few of the things I pinned.

Creamy Brie Soup from Midwest Living
Healthy Sweet Potato Skins from Pinch of Yum
Chocolate Buttermilk Bread from Roxana's Home Baking
Baked Pumpkin Donuts from Flourish
Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting from The Seaside Baker

OK that is it for now.

Have a fabulous weekend my friends <3

    1. I hope you give the casserole a try. It is super easy, inexpensive, and you could sub ground turkey to lighten it up and make it healthier.

I need to re-do the closets here sometime this week, switching out summer clothes for cooler ones.

  5. I do the same thing. I get sick or my fibro and lupus kick into gear, the moment I feel a teeny tiny bit better, bam! I'm cooking up a storm or redoing the closet. LOL
Love the give aways you've been having.
