Happy Friday everyone! This week has been all about welcoming in the fall season for me. The leaves are turning and there is a chill in the air.
I have had a fire burning in my fireplace for last few days. Which makes me uber happy because I love the fireplace smell. I know, weird right?
I dug into my candle stash and have already used up all of my pumpkin spice candles, so those are on my must buy list.
And the best of all is
the deer are back in my yard!!!
OhhEmmmGeeeee you have no idea how happy that makes this city girl!
Every time I see them I am like a little kid, all giggles.
So you can imagine how happy I was when 3. Yes not 1. But 3. Showed up in my front yard.
I almost peed my pants!!
So I tossed a few tomatoes out the front door to them
He is the smallest of the youngsters in the neighborhood and oohhh soooooo cute!!
It seems I rang the dinner bell, here comes number three.
This is the actual distance between my front door and the deer.
What? The tomatoes are gone?
Are you sure?
OK see ya!
I am going to talk to some friends of mine that own a produce store to see if I can get their rotten apples so next time my deer will get some dessert too!
OK, I no more fawning (giggle) over the deer. Let's move on....
This week on the blog we had some....

ReplyDeleteIt is awesome Karen :)
DeleteThese are absolutely beautiful photos, and the food looks great, too! The deer make me miss living in Minnesota, where I grew up and lived until about halfway through high school. I remember the pretty deer that used to show up in my grandparents' backyard out in the country. Thanks for bringing me back there in my mind. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Casey, and I am glad I could make you smile!
DeleteGreat pictures! I remember the first time I saw deer, I was so excited! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so cool to just look out my window and see them there.
DeleteWe always go to the woods, all inside tour Yamaha Rhino to look for deer. They are so cute especially the fawn. Loved Fall, too!
ReplyDeleteI am a lucky girl to live where I do :)
DeleteI would squeee if I saw deer in my back garden that is amazing!! We go on holiday to a forest place and sometimes we seem them there and I always find it so amazing to just sit and watch them. x
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I get so sad when they leave.
DeleteI like to see the deer in my yard too. My husband woke me up once to show me two sleeping right outside of our back door. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful? I see them all over our neighborhood!
DeleteThree deer visiting you, that's great. I feel that Christmas is fast approaching. Usually meet these guys in our parks in Canada, not so close as you. Thanks for the Slow Cooker Campfire Stew recipe, I love stews.
ReplyDeleteFan R @TeddyOutReady
Oh I am trying to not even think about Christmas yet!! I am glad you liked the stew recipe :)
DeleteWe live about a mile from a national park and we see deer all the time too. I love to watch them. They never come that close to our house though.
ReplyDeleteI know most people around here probably think it is no big deal, but just love animals. Actually a lot of people consider them a nuisance.
DeleteI am on the east coast, in the country and deer are as common as yard dogs. LOL
ReplyDeleteBut I get it, I get excited to see them. So does my dog!
I love the Thai ribs, yummy to my tummy
Thanks Dawn :) my dog is blind so she knows something is out there but is too nervous to really check it out. We had a bear in the neighborhood a week or so ago and I think it really freaked her out!
Deleteaww those pictures of the deer are beautiful and your recipe looks delicious too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jen :)
DeleteMy kids would have loved to see those in my yard. We usually see them walking around on the way to my sons school early in the morning but none are around my way. That recipes looks simply divine. I LOVE stew. :)
ReplyDeleteOh as a kid I would have died to see deer this close. I lived in the dessert so all we saw was lizards. I am glad you like the recipes :)
DeleteLove the deer. Reminds me of back home in Wisconsin. I like pumpkin recipes in the fall too and fall is my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteBeing a city girl, well from San Diego, this is all so new and exciting to me!!
