Pumpkin BBQ Sauce

Pumpkin BBQ Sauce - Bring the taste of fall to your grill with amazing BBQ sauce.

Pumpkin BBQ Sauce from

Every year I see the flood of pumpkin recipes on the internet. I used to think that those people were absolutely crazy. I mean seriously nuts!!

Then about a month ago Kevin told me he loves pumpkin.

It was like someone opened up a flood gate,

The ideas hit me. My note book is filling up with more and more recipe ideas on a daily basis.

I am a woman obsessed!

Up until now I thought of pumpkin as the center of fabulous holiday desserts. So that is why my first recipe went down the sweet route in my Pumpkin Apple Sauce. I have used it as a spread for toast, mixed it into my oatmeal, and even topped ice cream with it.

But I had never tasted pumpkin used in any kind of savory preparation. So the first thing I did was use it as a sauce for some lovely pork chops (I will be sharing that recipe soon).

The next thing to pop into my head was a BBQ sauce. I wanted to play off of the earthy side of pumpkin but add a bit of sweet and some nice BBQ tang.

I worked on a few recipes until I came up with what I, as well as several other people, think is a hands down winner. I actually can't wait to get a few more jars of this loveliness stashed in my pantry!

For many people I think the poor pumpkin has been typecast as the star of dessert.

End. of. subject.

But they are very very wrong.

Don't miss out, and don't think we are crazy.

Come to the dark errr pumpkin side!!
