Blog Tour



If you have gotten to know me a bit, you know the journey I have been through to get to this point in my life. You also know that becoming a food blogger is something that I seemingly stumbled into. Well maybe not stumbled, a lot of my family says that it was meant to be, so I guess it was fate that I now do what I love and can't imagine doing anything else! If I’d known how much I would love it I would have been doing this years ago! But then again, I  had that journey to go through to lead me to all of you fine folks.


To start, I want to thank Betsy from Desserts Required for honoring me by asking me to be a part of this awesome blog tour! I have followed Betsy on Facebook and Twitter for quite some time. She has been one of the sweetest people I have met through this fabulous blogging journey. Always a kind word and compliment. She makes me smile on a daily basis!

Although I do try to stay away from the sweet stuff *koff koff* ya right! Besty's blog has me drooling every time I read it. I mean, how can you not drool over Brownie Batter Truffles


Right?

Or how about this decadent Apple Cheesecake with Cinnamon Cookie Crust?


I am seriously swooning right now!! But enough of my drooling over her fabulous creations (because I would go on and on all day!) Let's get on to the blog tour questions.


What am I working on?

I am trying to take my baby (my blog) to the next level. I want it to go from being a hobby, to actually making a living doing it. I mean they say do what you love right? OK! Plus, with the family really pushing me, I am trying to get my first cookbook written.

How does my work differ than others of its genre?
WOW, that is an interesting question. I mean, I think if you take a  handful of bloggers, we re all different. I am not sure if that is what is meant by the question though. I guess if you had to nail one thing down about me it would be that I want people to have fun in the kitchen. I hope to come up with healthier versions of classic comfort foods, but just getting into the kitchen, involving the family, and having fun, that is what I love about what I do.

Why do I write what I do?
Haha, Bobbi's Kozy Kitchen started out at the urging of my family. They believed in me when I didn't. I just figured I would put out what I was going through in my life, which of course involved cooking, and maybe just a few people would enjoy it. I tend to be a bit of a goofball so if people are looking for highly structured, serious posts (with proper English hehe) I knew that my blog wouldn't be for them.

How does my writing process work?
Ooohhhh now we are getting down to the nitty gritty. Honestly, my writting process happens all over the place. I have a notebook with me 24/7 and when I am hit with the idea for a recipe, or a blog post, I jot it down. I used to cook every night and take photos every night, which drove the family crazy. Many times they had to reheat food by the time I was done doing "my thing". After a lot of complaining, and who plames them really, I have started trying to work on several dishes in one day. Especially things that can be stored and eaten later. To be honest, some food looks better photographed cold, and I want you to have the best photos, so things have just evolved as I go along.

I am truly thankful to be blogging and thank God everyday that I have had the support from my family, friends and online blogging companions who share my excitement for what I do!

I had to feature the lovely Ann from Sumptuous Spoonfuls because, well, I ADORE her AND her blog! I met Ann shortly after I started my Facebook page. I remember her always having a kind word, a "Good morning" "How is your day?" "Wow that is a wonderful dish". She and I seemed to be kindred spirits in our goals for our blogs. We both want to provide good food, that showcases fresh ingredients. Just because it's healthy doesn't me it can't taste good, and we both want to show people that fact! Plus she has some of the most beautiful photos of her food! I mean seriously!!
