Things in our house are a tad bit crazy right now. My daughter moved back in with us, and her car broke down. Kevin's car has already been on injured reserve for a while now, so it is just my lil' ol' Element shuttling 3 people around. Which, is doable, except when I am craving chicken from our fave teriyaki joint.

I was whining talking about how much I was craving it, but MPP had the car, and wasn't getting off work for several hours.

Kevin plainly looked at me and said, "I really don't understand why you haven't figured out how to make their chicken at home".

UH...really? How you gonna do me like that?

My response? "Well, why haven't you figured it out?"

Ha!

He calmly looked at me and said, "That's not my job, you're the food blogger."

Touche Kevin touche.

So the thinking cap went on, and the taste testers stood by, and I started the process of trying to nail that sauce that we alllll love so much.

I started off by trying several recipes that I found online. A lot of them were really good, but none of them were "it".

Plus, I wanted to make this an easy sauce that could be whipped up by anyone, uhhh helloooo Kevin, in no time flat.

Quick and easy are two of my favorite words!

You want some more of my favorite words?

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
Roasted Teriyaki Pork Loin
Teriyaki stir fried veggies.

Ohhhhh ya baby!

The beauty of it is that you probably already have everything you need to make it.

Well, you might not have toasted sesame oil, but don't leave it out! No no!!

Just grab a bottle at the store, and keep it in your fridge so you can bang this sauce out any time you want.

I love this sauce so much I feel like that lady that does the commercials for Frank's Red Hot.

I put this shizz on everything!!
