Y'all know that I am one cheese loving girl, and I will make just about anything into a mac and cheese. But what you might not know is, grilled cheese sandwiches rank right up there at the top of my list o' faves as well.

I just realized it has been forever, it feels like years, since I have done a tipsy Tuesday post.
Shame on me....bad blogger!
I haven't meant to ignore your desire for delicious beverages.
It is just that my son was the master mixologist in our house and when the kids all moved out on their own bartender duty fell to me. My idea of bartending was to open a bottle of wine. Oh occasionally I would whip up a dirty martini, but wine or a cold micro brew was just fine with me.
Lately though, our tastes have been drawn to tequila. We are big blanco fans. Don't get me wrong, I am not against a nice shot of Añejo here and there, but blanco is our tequila of choice.
We have been shaking up a few Bloody Marias, Tequila Drivers, and our new fave.....these Palomas.

I don't know about you, but I watch a TON of Food Network shows. If I am not watching something on Netflix with Kevin, it is pretty much on 24/7. I especially love the competition shows, with Chopped being right at the top of that list.
I like to think that I would be able to pull a dish together in a split second, but when they have things like chicken livers with black licorice?
Ummmm ya......I would be stumped!

Oh my goodness! Has summer hit you yet?
It is not super hot here, I mean last year at this time it was 20 degrees hotter
But this year it is muggy as all get out! I honestly think I would rather it be 90 degrees, than 70-ish with what feels like 100% humidity. Even with the fan on polar vortex, pointed directly at my face, I still wake up in a puddle

With grill season in high gear, pretty much everything is ending up on the grill. It is fun to be out doors, doesn't heat up the house, and adds a delicious kiss of smoke flavor to everything you cook. A flavor you just can't achieve any other way.
If you have been around here for very long, you know that vegetables, especially tomatoes, were on my, "Not going anywhere near my face" list for most of my life.

Ok, y'all know that I am the Queen O' Mac and Cheese right?
It borderlines on a obsession really. I can see different dishes on Food Network, that look awesome, and my first thought will be "Hmmmm can I make that into a mac and cheese?"
I know, it is crazy but it is just who I am. #TheStruggleIsReal
So you know I couldn't let National Mac and Cheese Day go buy without scouring the interwebs to put together a round up of mouth watering mac and cheese recipes for y'all.
Ya, I am awesome like that
So, without further adieu, I give you 16 reasons to love mac and cheese as much as I do.
But don't blame me when you start looking at your fave pizza and trying to figure out how to turn it into a mac and cheese!

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting as much, or very regularly lately.
Some of that has been due to health issues. I suffer from something called pernicious anemia, which causes my B12 and iron to drop. Over the past couple of years I have been very bad about keeping up with my levels, and I let them crash to rock bottom.
The result was debilitating. There were days that just walking up the stairs was painful, and finding enough energy to get out of bed was almost impossible.

Oh haaiiiii there
How are you doing this fabulous Monday?
I am coming off of a huge cooking high.
No, I have not been cooking with marijuana *giggle*
I mean that I did so much cooking this weekend, and it made me so happy. You know I love food, and I love creating new things for y'all, but with my health issues of late I just haven't been able to do as much as I want to. Which makes this foodie girl very blue
But I am getting back to my normal self, or as normal as I can be, and tons of ideas have started popping into my head. Those creative juices are flowing like crazy!
I have even been coming up with recipes in my sleep again!

Thai Peanut Noodle Salad - Bright and beautiful, and ready in 15 minutes, this veggie packed, gluten free Thai Peanut Noodle Salad is the perfect choice for a lunch, or a meatless Monday meal.
I want to thank JSL Foods for inviting me to participate in their blogger recipe contest, and providing me with the noodles to make this recipe
Are y'all in the mood for another amazeballs summer salad?
I have been all about salads lately. I think something about getting into a bathing suit might be partially fueling that fire, but I do love a nice fresh veggie packed salad most anytime.
So when JSL invited me to participate in their blogger recipe contest, and I found out that one of the categories was cold noodle salad, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
I wanted to cram as many veggies with those noodles and a delicious Thai peanut dressing.

Creamy Pesto Chicken Sandwiches - A delicious alternative to the traditional chicken salad and the perfect sandwich to pack for your next picnic.
Hey you guys, I am super excited about today's post! Why you ask? Well, I will tell you. Today we are talking about a few of my favorite things, summertime, the out of doors, and picnicking.
Did you know that July is National Picnic Month?
How awesome is that? A whole month dedicated to good food, and tons of fun!
This has been an amazing summer already here in Washington. On the average, we usually have about 24 days of "summer". I am not joking, that's it peeps. Not even a full month!
Other than that, you will have to fight with the typical Pacific Northwest damp and drizzle. But this year? We have already had some gorgeous days of sunshine!
And they are still forecasting more to come. Which means we can actually celebrate National Picnic Month the way you are supposed to, outside in the sunshine!
OhhEmmGee color me sooooo happy!!
