Weekly Meal Plan #1

Weekly Meal Plan #1 from www.bobbiskozykitchen

Welcome to the 1st edition of Weekly Meal Plan! I have had so many people ask about meal planning I decided to start putting together a weekly plan for y'all.

I know how hard it can be to plan for the week ahead. I always set up the menu for what I am going to be making for the blog, but when it comes time to plan regular meals for us I will be honest, I tend to slack off.

During the summer it is not that bad because we pretty much grill everything. So, as long as I have meat and sauces, we are good to go. I just pull something out to defrost, slap some Classic BBQ, Teriyaki, or Honey Mustard Sauce on and away we go.

I also always have some kind of a salad in the fridge ready to go. I sometimes grab those bagged salads or, and this is kinda my fave right now, I do what I call garbage salad and just toss mixed greens with whatever veggies strike my fancy while I am shopping. Radish, carrot, peppers, mushrooms, green onions, you name it.

But when fall rolls around I have to admit that there is more than one night a week that we end up staring at each other asking, "What are we going to have for dinner tonight?". Which is dangerous because delivery pizza, or some kind of take-out usually follows that question.

When I started planning this menu, or really any menu, I decided I wanted a mix of everything, beef, pork, chicken, meatless, slow cooker, sheet pan, I mean let's change things up. Monotony can be a killer. If it is boring who wants to do it right?

So no same ol' same ol' here. No Monday night meatloaf, Tuesday night tuna casserole, although I do reserve the right to plan those once in a while

I would love to hear your ideas so I can fine tune the meal plans for y'all.

Leave me a comment and let me know if there is a certain day that you would like me to post. Is there anything else you would like to see?

  1. So many weekly meal plans! They are a great idea, but no one cooks on Saturday? As a single (with a dog), that's the one night I want to do something kind of fun for myself. Maybe you could, too? Occasionally? I'm a big fan!

    1. We always had a pizza night, or something like that, when I was a kid. Are you looking for fun adventurous recipes for Saturday? Or a day off from cooking? I am always game for both :)

  7. Living alone I just go with the flow, I am still waiting on my landlord to fix my oven so I can bake some treats. I do love to slow cook as I can then freeze it for a while
