I don’t know about all of you, but in my opinion, bacon is just about one of the best ingredients around! I personally believe it should be it's own food group. You know, dairy, produce, grains, BACON

It is true when they say bacon makes everything taste better.
Now, we are all used to hearing about taco bars, nacho bars, maybe even a chili bar, or baked potato bar right?,
But, a “Bacon Bar"?
But, a “Bacon Bar"?
I had never even thought about something like a bacon bar until I was introduced to the Smithfield Bacon Bar website,
So what does a Smithfield Bacon Bar consist of?
Well, of course it is going to have bacon, but we're not just talking about regular ol' strips of bacon on a plate.
Well, of course it is going to have bacon, but we're not just talking about regular ol' strips of bacon on a plate.
Oh no no!
How about peppered brown sugar bacon, sea salt caramel, and caramelized bourbon bacon (be still my
! All paired up with with warm flaky biscuits, sweet jams, and more.

I always have a ton of friends and family over during the holidays, and am always looking for new, fun ideas for the get together. A bacon bar would be a fun way to add a twist to the traditional party fair.
How about a multi stationed bacon bar?
For the adults you could start off with a bloody Mary station with regular and spicy mixer, pickled veggies, and tons of bacon (If you have never tried bacon in your bloody Mary you are missing out!!).
Then move on to the breakfast/brunch area. That's where you would find the biscuits, and jam, to go along with all of the delicious bacon flavors.
Not in the mood for breakfast? Kay, let's have a mini sandwich bar station all stocked up with slider buns, deli meats and cheeses, and condiments galore.
Of course we have to end with a dessert station right?
What? Bacon in dessert?
Oh heck ya!! Once you try a scoop of salted caramel ice cream topped with crumbled bacon, you will swear off eating ice cream any other way.
Add in some vanilla and chocolate ice cream, with different toppings, whipped cream, and nuts. Your guests will think you are a genius and be talking about your party for weeks!
Smithfield has even created these adorable free printables for you to use. Your guests will think you worked for hours!
Shh I won't tell if you don't!
OK, now are you ready to get your bacon on?
Well, before you rush out to get your Smithfield bacon, and invite the entire neighborhood over, how about entering the giveaway so you can win one (1) Smithfield “Bacon For a Year” coupon booklet?
Who wouldn't want that??
