This keto eggnog recipe is rich and creamy and tastes amazing. Even though it is sugar-free and dairy-free, you don't miss a thing!
Join my newsletter and never miss a recipe!Y'all, I have been low carb for a couple of years now and am still learning things. Like never think that something is off-limits.
Example?
Eggnog!
For whatever reason, I just assumed that my fave holiday drink was banished from my life forever when I decided to ditch the carbs.
That fear was compounded when I decided to try to limit my dairy intake.
I mean if you take away sugar AND dairy? What is eggnog but sugar and dairy right?
WRONG!
Who knew?
Well, I kinda did when I kicked in the old noggin and started doing some research. I found several recipes, and tried several recipes, and settled on one I found on All Day I Dream About Food. I tweaked it a teensy bit to fit our needs, but it is great either way.
If you are keto and haven't checked out her recipes yet you MUST go and bookmark her NOW!
Why dairy-free too? Am I just trying to complicate life even more?
Haha, nope.
I have had quite a few people asking about dairy-free options for a while now, and since I contracted Covid back in February, I have been dealing with all sorts of weird and wacky symptoms that the Dr's are just now trying to figure out how to deal with.
Some are thinking that inflammation, or inflammatory foods, can make them worse, and you guessed it, dairy is one of those foods ðŸ˜
Cutting dairy out of my diet 100% is rough, but cutting down is something I am trying really hard to do, so you will be seeing a lot more recipes here doing just that.
I am excited, I hope you are too!
If you have any recipes you would like to see converted to dairy-free feel free to leave a comment or email me.

Is eggnog as nostalgic for you as it is for me?
I can't really think of Christmas without eggnog, going back as far as I can remember!
I remember being really little and having homemade eggnog at my Grandma and Grandpa's house sitting by the fire.
Those are some good memories!
I even remember that God awful store-bought eggnog my Mom would bring home.
You know, the stuff that was so thick it glugged out of the carton when you poured it? I don't even want to think about how much sugar that had in it 😬
Of course, there was the adult eggnog that was consumed later in life.
And there was a lot of that consumed 😂
But again, added sugar, so this girl stays away from that now.
I know, I am no fun, right?
Oh, y'all are welcome to indulge though!
This recipe is ready for your fave adult beverage to be added. Brandy, rum, whiskey, by all means, add away.
Merry Christmas!

This keto eggnog recipe is rich and creamy and tastes amazing. Even though it is sugar-free and dairy-free, you don't miss a thing!
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1 large egg yolk

- Stir in the vanilla and the nutmeg.
- Place in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
- Just before serving, whip the cream with powdered Swerve until soft peaks form.
- Pour into glasses, top with a spoonful of whipped cream and a sprinkle of grated nutmeg.
