Looking for an easy holiday party recipe to make, that is packed full of flavor? This Buffalo Ranch Cheese Ball will not let you down. It is guaranteed to be a party fave!
New Year's Eve is kind of a big deal in our family. We all get together, at my house of course (who else cooks?), to sip some fancy drinks, cram our faces with awesome food, and usher in the new year together. There is nothing better than that right?
Oh there was the day that I would get all gussied up and hit the town in style so I could dance the night away with friends, thrown confetti, share a glass of bubbly, and kiss the cutest guy at the stroke of Midnight. But now I would much rather stay home, in comfy clothes, with my friends and family, and watch the ball drop on TV. Call it smart, call it cheaper, call it being old, but whatever it is I look forward to it all year long.
I love making the nibbles for our gathering because I can go from decadent, like my Mini Beef Wellingtons, to simple like these , but my holiday party table is not complete without a cheese ball (or two!). My Mom started my love for them, and it has continued through the years. That is a lot of years, and a lot of cheese my friends! There is just something about spreading that creamy cheese onto a crispy, buttery cracker that makes my heart go pity pat, and my taste buds purr. OK cheese makes me happy people, don't judge!!
I mean they say it is the simple things in life right? Well this cheese ball couldn't be much simpler to make! Grated cheese, ranch dressing mix, cream cheese, and Town House Pretzel Thins. Easy peasy lemon squeezy you got yourself a winning app right there! Pair it up with those buttery Town House Original Crackers, and some celery sticks, or other veggies, and it will be gone in the blink of an eye. So you might want to make two!
Finding my Town House crackers was super easy too. I just hit my local Target store and headed for the cracker isle.
And WALA, there they were, every type of Town House Cracker you little heart could desire.
I bought the Pretzel Thins and Original for my New Year celebration, and my daughter bought the Pita Crackers to eat along with the roasted garlic hummus she found.
How do you spend your New Year's Eve? What is your favorite holiday recipe?
